Unlike other options on the market, our formula excludes hazardous ingredients such as zinc and titanium dioxides, benzones, octislate, octylenes, homosalate, and octinoxtes, all of which can be harmful to humans, dogs, cats, and horses.

While the FDA doesn't provide specific SPF ratings for pet sunscreen, we ensure top-notch protection using the finest oils with high SPF values. Our carefully selected ingredients include Coconut Oil (SPF 4-6), Olive Oil (SPF 2-8), Shea Butter (SPF 3-6), Red Raspberry Oil (SPF 28-50), Carrot Seed Oil (SPF 38-40), and Hemp Seed Oil (SPF 6). These oils not only offer superior SPF protection but also possess remarkable moisturizing and restorative properties.

For optimal sun protection for your horse, we recommend daily and liberal application to alleviate the stress of sun exposure. Please note that this product is composed of beeswax and oils, and they may liquefy if left in a hot vehicle.

Stays on even after your horse drinks from their bucket!!

Sunlight offers numerous benefits for horses, including the synthesis of vitamin D, relief from muscle and tendon stiffness or soreness, and potentially enhanced immunity. However, horses with pink-skinned areas are susceptible to sunburn if exposed excessively, increasing the risk of equine skin cancer over time.

A more severe sun-related issue is photosensitivity, characterized by red, swollen skin that may crack open, develop crusts, and even result in skin loss. These reactions are particularly painful and prone to infections, occurring exclusively in pink-skinned areas. In horses with pink skin and white hair on their legs, photosensitivity reactions might be mistaken for scratches or chigger infestations.

Incorporating our sun screen into your daily sun management routine can significantly contribute to mitigating these risks. As with any natural product, success hinges on a consistent and repeated application schedule. Apply the sunscreen frequently throughout the day, both before and after outdoor activities. Use a towel to generously apply the product to all white areas, including the muzzle, ears, legs, around the tail, and any other areas as needed.

Please be aware that wax will melt at 145 degrees fahrenheit, this product will liquify if left in hot car, truck or trailer.
