Replacement dog bed insert materials: recycled polyester fill, inner pillows and OEKO-TEX certified nylon fabric

When Should You Replace Your Dog Bed Insert?

Replace your dog bed insert when it stays flat, turns lumpy, or your dog stops using the bed. The cover often looks fine long after the fill underneath has broken down.

Signs it's time

  • It stays flat. Press the center down. If it doesn't spring back, the fill has broken down.
  • Lumps and empty spots. The fill has bunched up and your dog is lying on thin patches.
  • Your dog sleeps on the floor instead. Dogs vote with their feet.
  • The bolster has slumped. A ring that has flattened can't support your dog's head and neck anymore.
  • Odor that washing won't fix. It's coming from the fill, not the cover.
  • Tears or leaking fill. Once the insert fabric breaks open, it's done.

Replace the insert, not the whole bed

If the cover is still in good shape, you only need new inserts. Our replacement dog bed inserts come as a bolster ring, a center pillow, or both, in sizes XS to XL. They fit our Organic Cotton Round Dog Bed and most other round beds. Need an odd size? Send us your measurements and we'll make one at our mill in Maine.

Just a little flat?

If the insert is intact but has lost some loft, top it off with replacement stuffing.

Cover worn out too?
