Bolster Ring and Pillow Inserts for Round Dog Beds
Round beds use two inserts:
- Bolster ring insert fills the raised rim around the bed. Sizes XS to XL, or custom.
- Pillow insert is the rectangle cushion in the center. It also fits most rectangle dog beds. Sizes XS to XL, or custom.
How to Measure
- Take the old insert out of the cover, or lay the empty cover flat.
- Measure length and width in inches, to the nearest quarter inch.
- For a bolster ring, measure it lying flat and send us the numbers. We'll work out the cut size.
- For a pillow insert, measure the inside of the cover or the old pillow lying flat.
We cut rings slightly long on purpose, so you can fold back any extra when you stuff it into the cover. Not sure about a measurement? Email us a photo and we'll help.
Custom Sizes
If your bed doesn't match a standard size, we'll build an insert to your measurements. Custom sizes are priced at 20% over the next size up. If your ring falls between a medium and a large, the price is a large plus 20%. Email admin@sitstayforever.com with your measurements and we'll confirm size and price before you order.
Recycled Fill, Oeko-Tex Certified Shell
The shell is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified spun nylon, tested for harmful chemical residues. The fill is Fairfield Poly-Fil® made from recycled water bottles. It's hypoallergenic, with no added chemicals or flame retardants, so it's safe for pets and for kids who spend time on the bed.
Shipping is built into the price, so there's no separate charge at checkout. Each insert is made to order, usually in 2 to 3 days, before it ships.
FAQ
Can I just refill my dog bed with more stuffing?
You can, but Poly-Fil® clumps over time and with washing. A new insert is evenly filled, so the bed keeps its shape.
Will your inserts fit a bed from another brand, like L.L.Bean or Orvis?
Usually, yes. Measure your old insert and compare it to our size chart. If it falls between sizes, email us the numbers and we'll make one to fit.
Is the insert washable?
Yes. Machine wash on cool. Squeeze out as much water as you can by hand, then dry on very low heat or lay it out in the sun. High heat can damage the fill.
Are the inserts safe for dogs and children?
Yes. The shell is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, and the fill has no added chemicals or flame retardants.
Why does it arrive so small?
We shrink-wrap each insert to fit the smallest box possible, which keeps shipping costs down. Open it right away and it expands to full size within minutes.
